We hope that you and your families remain safe.
The recent developments in most European countries, and especially in Greece and our island, make us more hopeful than ever before. We believe that we are soon going to be able to welcome you in our hotel.
Of course we are dependent and fully respectful of the upcoming measures and “exit plans” of Greece and other countries. On top of the formal measures to be implemented at a national level, we would like to inform you about the specificities of our hotel for this season:
-Our restaurant-bar will remain open, but the tables will be rearranged in a way that the minimum distance between any two of them will be 2m. Total capacity may need to be reduced because of this measure and the bat stools area will be protected with plexiglass as our guest’s and staff’s health remain our top priority, but we are confident that we will be able to serve you all well.
-In a similar way, the distance between umbrellas and sun-beds will be doubled to also respect a minimum distance of 2m. In the pool area, there will be fewer sunbeds than before, while at the beach the distance between umbrellas will be approximately 4 meters
-Those of you that haven’t visited us in the past, please note that the architecture of our hotel is such that there are no indoors corridors, staircases, etc. All common guest areas are outdoors. The only exception is the reception, where we will also take the necessary measures to avoid the presence of many people. You can also meet us outside or at the bar and only briefly enter the reception when necessary.
Finally, we would like to highlight the very limited spread of the virus in Greece (You may have read articles in the news in your own countries about the country’s success so far, e.g here, here, or here) and even lower spread in our area. In Chania there has been only a single confirmed case of the virus until today, while there are only ten cases in the entire island of Crete, with a population of more than 600 thousand. All our staff lives in Chania on a permanent basis.
Despite the difficult times still for many, we are confident that the worst is now behind us and are really looking forward to starting this year’s summer!
Thank you for your time; looking forward to seeing you in Crete.
